Industry under-cutting

by Nena on October 6, 2009

You get what you pay for! It’s the one thing we stress the most.

We recently had a client approach us for an exit clean, after talking with them for 10 minutes a time was arrange for the job.

The next day, 10 minutes before we were scheduled to start we get a call canceling the job. After inquiring as to why they had decided to cancel, they promptly informed us:

“I’m getting it done for half the price, thanks anyway!”

Right-o!

You’ll never guess who  called back the following day, you guessed it.

After the cheaper, industry under-cutting cleaner had gone through, the place was still a pig sty, the oven, microwave and bath tub hadn’t even been touched.

The client was charged for a total of 7 hours work.

So not only are they out of pocket for 7 hours of terrible cleaning, they also had to pay another week of rent because the property wasn’t ready in time for the next tenants.

Sometimes you’re better off forking out a little more for a quality service, in any industry.

Bugs & Assorted Nasties

by Nena on September 15, 2009

After being chased around by mice at one of our clients office I thought I’d whip up this quick post outlining some basic tips for keeping your office Bug & Rodent Free!

Empty your bins each day before you leave the office, there is nothing more appetizing to bugs & rodents than a fresh pile of food scraps!

Don’t leave your cereal open, most people come into work early and have cereal sitting around for convenience. There’s nothing convenient about falling ill from sharing a meal with your local bugs or rodents!
